Taste Swansea's Food and Drink Digest #5 (Oct 21st 2015)

Has it been two weeks already? Apparently so, meaning we're back for our fortnightly Swansea food and drink events round-up, covering everything foodie in Swansea, Gower, Neath and Llanelli.

BURGER FEAST IN UPLANDS

The popular Hardies Supper Club return to Noah's Yard in the Uplands tonight, for their Manc Burgers evening. They will serve up four unique gourmet burgers, including the intriguing 'See Ye Davey' - featuring a haggis patty, Bloody Mary ketchup, whiskey-glazed bacon and pork scratching crumbs. The food starts at 6pm, so get down there!

WILD WELSH HARVEST SUPPER

Moruzzi and Co - since 1928!

Tomorrow night, the long-running Neath cafĂ© Moruzzi & Co will host the Fuller Flavour Supper Club, run by Andy Addis Fuller (one of the original chefs from Channel 4's The Secret Supper Club). The theme for the six-course meal is a Welsh wild harvest supper, including wild game and foraged foods – a very seasonal menu made with local Welsh ingredients. Check out menu details here. The event kicks off at 7pm, and last time I checked there were only a few spaces left!

LOCAL PRODUCE MARKETS

This Saturday (24 October) we have the return of the Uplands Market, with top producers such as Ty Siriol Pork, Taste of Persia, Mumbles Pate Company, Pop Cycle and Nothing But Burgers (well worth trying a burger from these guys - lovely!). The market takes place between 9am and 1pm.

BEER - THE GERMAN WAY

The perfect Oktoberfest drinking partner

Looking for somewhere to celebrate Oktoberfest? Check out the Oktoberfest event at Stouthall Country Mansion in Reynoldston, which takes place on Saturday night. Featuring local beer, pretzels, sausage and beer (worth mentioning twice...). Pre-booked tickets are £20, including a litre of beer, a selection of food and a souvenir glass to take home. Get in touch with Carreg Adventure directly for more info.
